Soheil Nasseri

Soheil Nasseri (* in Santa Monica ) is a Berlin-based American pianist.

Biography

Soheil Nasseri was born to Persian parents in Santa Monica California. He began playing the piano at the age of five years and moved with twenty years to New York with Karl Ulrich Schnabel (1909-2001) to study. After the death of Karl Ulrich Schnabel was Soheil Nasseri student of Jerome Lowenthal and Claude Frank. Other important teachers were Irina Edelman, Anna Balakerskaia, Clinton Adams, Eva Pierrou, and Ann Schein.

Concerts

Soheil Nasseri led, among other things, at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Berliner Philharmonie.

Since 2001, he has performed more than two dozen works by contemporary composers. Also worth mentioning is the world premiere of Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabjis Sonata No.. 0 ( 1917) at Carnegie Hall in 2002, of which the first commercial CD Nasseri was created.
