Soin (mountain)

The Soin of the saddle from Zeller

The Soin, also often called Soinwand, is a 1756 meter high mountain in the Bavarian Alps. He is surrounded by the peaks of the Wendelstein, boiler wall, Wildalpjoch and Hochsalwand. Part of the Wendelstein Cog Railway ( Mitteralm to Reindlerscharte ) runs along the northern slope of the mountain. Between Wildalpjoch and Soin the Soinkessel lies with the Soin - pastures, the Soin hut of the Bundeswehr and the Soinsee.
