Sokolica, Lower Silesian Voivodeship

Sokolica ( German Zaughals ) is a village in the rural community of Nowa Ruda in Poland. It is located three kilometers north-west of Nowa Ruda ( neurodegeneration ) and is part of the powiat Kłodzki.

Geography

Sokolica belongs geographically to Glatzer boiler and lies on the border with the Czech Republic, which runs west. Neighboring towns are Borek (Hain ) and Ludwikowice Kłodzkie in the north, Drogosław in the northeast, Grządka (basic ) and Włodowice in the south, Rybno ( Fischerberg ) and Krajanówek (small Krainsdorf ) in the southwest and Krajanów in the northwest. To the northeast stands the 757 m high Góra Włodzicka ( Königswalde Spitzberg ).

History

Zaughals was first in 1571 with a " Heegerei Zaughals » 1577 mentions a " forest Zaughals ". It belonged to Neuroder district in the county of Glatz, which belonged directly to Bohemia. From the 19th century it gained importance as a summer resort. 1939 consisted of 250 residents.

As a result of World War II Zaughals 1945 coincided with the most of Silesia to Poland and was renamed Sokolica. The German population was, if they had not fled earlier, largely expelled. Since many of the houses after 1945 remained uninhabited because of its remote location, the population decreased significantly. 1975-1998 belonged to Sokolica Voivodeship Wałbrzych.
