Soloco District

Soloco is one of the 21 districts of Peru, from which the province of Chachapoyas in the Amazonas region exists.

Geography

The district capital, Soloco, located at an altitude of 2400 m above sea level The entire district Soloco is located in the high mountains and flattens out towards the river Sonche.

In the north of the district Soloco borders the district of San Francisco de Daguas ( Chachapoyas ) and the district Molinopampa ( Chachapoyas ), to the east by the district Cheto ( Chachapoyas ), to the south by the district Cochamal ( Chachapoyas ) and the district of San Isidro de Mayno ( Chachapoyas ) and to the west by the district Chachapoyas (Peru ) and the District of Levanto ( Chachapoyas ).

In 2011, the discovery of a cave system of about 20 kilometers in length, it was announced on the outskirts of the district capital.
