Soloviev D-25

The Soloviev D -25W is a Russian helicopter engine in 1960, which was designed by Pawel Solovyov, chief designer at Awiadwigatel in Perm.

The W means Wertoljot ( Вертолёт ), Russian helicopter. The starting performance of the engine shaft is 5,500 hp ( 4,045 kW). Two engines were used with a reduction gear drive system as in Mil Mi -6 and Mi- 10.

In the Mi -10K later improved D- 25WF engines came with a capacity of 6,500 WPS ( 4,781 kW ) are used.
