Sonique (media player)

Sonique is no longer evolved Audio Player, which is available only for Windows operating systems.

The software was developed by Media Science and sells with this company to Lycos. After the takeover by Terra the development and distribution for Sonique were phased out.

Sonique play all major file formats including MP3, WMA, Vorbis, and audio CD. The current stable release is version 1.96. It has been updated for the last time on 8 February 2005. For a time it was still working on version 2. Version 2.0 beta was released, but is still unstable.

Similar to Winamp Sonique has appeared in the 1990s, for Windows and had its user interface, which could be greatly changed by skins, many users attracted.

Later could no longer keep pace with the development of Winamp step whereby Sonique Sonique has lost many users.

Although no longer being developed, the software still works under Windows. Due to its age, it is only small hardware and software requirements.
