Sonny Curtis

Sonny Curtis ( born May 9, 1937 in Meadow, Texas) is an American singer, guitarist and songwriter. He was a member of The Crickets and wrote, played and sang many famous songs, including I Fought the Law, which was covered by many bands.

In the early 1990s he wrote the theme song for the TV show Evening Shade. Curtis was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1991, five of his songs were played according to the collecting society BMI more than a million times on the radio. 2012 Curtis was admitted as a member of the Crickets in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
