Sontra (river)

The Sontra is a 21.3 km long, right or southern tributary of the weirs in the northeastern part of Hessen ( Germany ).

The Sontra rises in the mountains Stölzinger in Hersfeld -Rotenburg and flows from there through the Werra- Meißner-Kreis. The source is at 362.7 m above sea level. NN on the slopes of Mount Moses ( 485.8 m), which rises west of Cornberg King Forest.

From there, the Sontra flows through Rockensüß to the east. On the southern outskirts of Berne castle her flowing to the Cornberger water from the south. Even before Sontra, which flows through it, she takes on the hazel and then turns north, after which the Ulfe that Datterpfeife and the Netra open out.
