Sorry, We're Open (album)

Sorry, We're Open (German Sorry, we are open ) is the third studio album by the Berlin indie - rock band Bonaparte. It was released on August 17, 2012 in State Ceremony.

Creation and publication

For the first time in the history of the band, the album was recorded not at the computer, but in their own recording studio. Even in the choice of the label there was compared to the previous albums differences. Although the album was still recorded on the label of state, the distribution and marketing, was incorporated to the major label Universal. For collaborations could Housemeister ( for the song Quarantine ) Siriusmo ( at Point & Shoot) and Deichkind ( for all already seen ) are obtained. The album was released on 17 August 2012. As a pre-release of the single Quarantine came August 3, 2012 on the market.

The album was able to place in the album charts in Germany and Switzerland, where number 30 was achieved in Germany and number 21 in Switzerland. A single could be placed in any country in the charts.

Reception

By music critics, the album was mixed was added, but mostly the reviews were positive.

Mara Brugger of Laut.de gives the album four out of five stars and said that the album just do happy. Special praise is working with Deicide.

Fritz.de awards also four out of five stars, praising in particular the songwriting, production and draft of Sorry, We're Open. The collaborations are described as very fitting.

With five out of ten awards Plattentests.de a mixed review. Critic Thomas Pilgrim criticism that the album musically was not subtle enough and that the music was used by about half of the album.

Criticized January Friday by the newspaper Die Zeit that the songs work live, could not rekindle the same mood on the album and the band that's not exploiting their talents consistently. Thus it would happen that the quality was declining towards the end.
