South Twin Island (Nunavut)

South Twin Iceland is an uninhabited island in the James Bay east of Akimiski Iceland.

The twice as large North Twin Iceland is located about 10 km north-west. South Twin Iceland has a mossy tundra and fewer trees than their neighboring island. Lucy Point is called the southern tip of South Twin Iceland.

Both islands are collectively Twin Islands. They are part of Qikiqtaaluk region in the Canadian territory of Nunavut.

South Twin Iceland is a major breeding ground for Canada goose and America Ringed Plover.
