Southeast Financial Center

The Southeast Financial Center (formerly Wachovia Financial Center ) is a 233 meter tall skyscraper in the U.S. city Miami, South Florida. The 55 storey stone tower was built in 1982-1983 and designed by the renowned architectural firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. After its completion, the building could claim the title of the tallest building of the city and the state for 20 years for themselves. Only in 2003 it was replaced by the 240 -meter Four Seasons Hotel & Tower, since it is still the second highest building.

In 2011 the building was renamed from its name Wachivia Financial Center back to the original name Southeast Financial Center, it had moved from its construction until 1992. This name comes from the original owners of the building, the South East Bank. The previous owner Wachovia in 2008 was taken over completely by the company Wells Fargo, in the framework of which the building was renamed again in 2011. From 1992 to 2003, it had the name First Union Financial Center.

In the 1980s the building was repeatedly seen in the series Miami Vice.
