Southwark Cathedral

Southwark Cathedral or The Cathedral and Collegiate Church of St Saviour and St Mary Overie ie, built on the south bank of the River Thames in the London Borough of Southwark Anglican Cathedral.

History

Organ

The organ was built in 1897 by organ builder T.C. Lewis ( Brixton, London) built with electro- pneumatic actions. The organ case was designed by the famous Victorian architect Arthur Blomfield. 1952 instrument by the organ builder Henry Willis & Son has been extensively remodeled. 1986 and 1991, the instrument was built back to its original state. It has 61 registers to four manual and pedal works. The tracker action is electro- pneumatic.
