Spanish Rugby Federation

The Federación Española de Rugby is the national governing body for rugby in Spain.

The Spanish Rugby Federation was founded in 1923. In 1934 he was one of the founding members of the European continental federation ( FIRA -AER ). Since 1988, the Spanish federation is a member of the International Rugby Board (IRB ). Seat of the Federación Española de Rugby is Madrid.

The Association organizes inter alia, the national league and cup double, as well as all the activities of the national team of men and women, both in the modality Rugby Union and in the 7- rugby. In addition to the organized by the FIRA -AER and the International Rugby Board variants Rugby Union and Rugby 7 Series, the Spanish association is also responsible for Rugby League, Tag Rugby, Touch Rugby and Rugby Beach.
