Spastik Children

Children spasticity was between 1985 and 1990 existing U.S. heavy metal band, a sort of supergroup. The founding members were Fred Cotton, James McDaniel and Rich " Jumbo" Sielert. Drummer Sielert was later replaced by James Hetfield, the frontman of the band Metallica on this instrument. Other members of the band were Cliff Burton, Kirk Hammett, Jason Newsted and later, all (former) members of Metallica. Some times also appeared Jim Martin, former guitarist of the band Faith No More, a friend of Hetfield and Burton together with the band.

Spasticity Children offered as a hobby band primarily the members of Metallica, the opportunity to play with other musicians and to devote less serious texts and pieces. The band, who only rarely or not rehearsed before their performances, during its existence published no album took only in 1986 a demo on. It took the form of a live band to perform in small clubs and bars in Northern California.
