Speaking in Code

Speaking in Code is a documentary in the field of electronic dance music.

The documentary was directed by the originating from San Francisco Amy Grill and her husband DJ David Day. It was shot in 11 different cities and 5 states.

The film tries to illuminate the world of electronic music. The show includes interviews with techno producers and DJs like Ellen Allien, Akufen, Tobias Thomas, Wighnomy Brothers and Sascha Funke. The soundtrack was produced, among others, Modeselektor, The Field, Gui Boratto and Superpitcher.

The premiere of " Speaking in Code " took place on April 23, 2009 at the Boston Film Festival. In addition, the Goethe -Institut has premiered together with "Intro 2009" and the Cologne c / o pop music festival the film in China in China. The documentary was released in April 2010 on DVD.
