Spijkstaal

Spijkstaal Electric B. V. is a Dutch company that produces commercial vehicles with electric drive.

Headquartered in Spijkenisse company produces around 500 vehicles and employs around 75 people. The products range from small transport vehicles, which are used in factories, to small buses. Spijkstaal was founded in 1938. In the early days vehicles for the delivery of milk and sale cars were mainly produced. See for delivering milk: Milk float.

Jointly developed with the Italian company Bredamenarinibus Spijkstaal an electrically powered bus called ZEUS (Zero Emission Urban System) for 32 passengers, has a top speed of 35 km / h and its battery capacity is sufficient for operation of 4 to 5 hours; the battery can be charged within a few minutes.
