SPIM

SPIM is a program that simulates the MIPS32 architecture for the execution of assembly code. Thereby, it is possible (for example, x86 processors) to test for MIPS assembly code also among other architectures or " run ". It is available for GNU / Linux, Mac OS X, Unix and Windows as a console program ( spim ) or GUI ( PCSpim Windows, xspim for the other ) are available. It is used in some institutions for learning assembly language.
