Spirit Caravan
Spirit Caravan was a stoner doom band from Maryland, USA, which forms around Scott " Wino " Weinrich ( Saint Vitus, The Obsessed, ex - The Hidden Hand ) and within six years and two albums into one of the most important bands Doom and Stoner genre was.
History
After the end of The Obsessed Weinrich moved in 1995 to Maryland and was designed by drummer Gary Isom (including ex - Pentagram ) and bassist Dave Sherman (ex - Wretched ) invited to a jam session, which later became the band Shine emerged. By 1998 the band worked on new material. Shortly before the release of the first album turned out that already changed its name another band under that name. The band was called by then and changed the band name to Spirit Caravan ( after a song by The Obsessed ). In 1999, the album was released by Sun Jug Fulla Tolotta Records.
Even as of 1999 the band recorded the EP Dream Wheel and embarked on a short tour. Their 2001 release, the album Elusive Truth. The band went on tour with Elusive Truth and also gave concerts in Europe. The financial success was, however, so that Weinrich had to dissolve the band. Was published in 2004 with The Last Embrace a double album, the Jug Fulla Sun and Elusiv Truth, extended by B-sides as well as several unreleased tracks, united.
