Spivey Records

Spivey Records was an American Blue Label, which was founded in 1961 by the blues singer Victoria Spivey and jazz historian Len Kunštát. Between 1961 and 1985 appeared on the label numerous jazz and blues albums. The locations were in large part by artists with whom the owners were friends. After the death of Kunštát put the label on the work, however, is planning the niece of Kunštát to publish the catalog of Spivey Records on CD again. To date, however, no CDs are currently in stock.

Bob Dylan and Spivey Records

Bob Dylan was discovered by Victoria Spivey in Greenwich Village and took four albums as a harmonica player and backing vocalist for Spivey Records on. In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine Dylan said that one of the best recordings in which he ever took part in, which was with Big Joe Williams and Victoria Spivey. (Three Kings And The Queen). It is not the first recordings by Bob Dylan, because at that time his first album for CBS was already incurred.
