Spoil Five

Spoil Five ( " Destroy the five" ) is a card game for two or more players. There is an Irish national game and known and played by the Altenburger rulebook also in Germany. The aim of the game is to prevent another player receives five stitches.

Game rules

It is played with 52 cards. The rank order of the colors is:

• Heart: K, D, B, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2
• Karo: K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A
• Pik: K, D, B, A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
• Cross: K, D, B, A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

One of the colors is the trump suit, their order is then:

• 5, B, ace of hearts, A, K, Q, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 4, 3, 2 in red trump suit
• 5, B, ace of hearts, A, K, Q, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 in black stocking color.

The dealer deals initially to all the players and two in the second round of three cards. The dealer then reveals the following map whose color now is the trump suit. Who owns the trump ace, can replace the face up trump card against another card from his hand after he "trump ace! " has called in the players lap. However, the possession of the trump ace can also be concealed; in this case the card can not be replaced.

Each player may now, in turn, operate or pierce with a trump card. Trump must always be served; whom this is not possible, must discard a different card. The game is won when a player reaches three stitches. Does the winner on, he must have a walkover with five stitches to achieve. If he fails, his first three passes are invalid. The winner will receive per stitch twice as many points as there are players.
