Sport Bild

Sport picture ( in the notation of the publisher SPORT BILD ) is a German sports magazine. With a week 479 058 copies (IVW / second quarter of 2010 ) it is the largest circulation in Europe. The print edition will be produced in the Axel Springer Verlag and appears every Wednesday since 1988. The headquarters of the editorial office is located in Hamburg - also editors working in the field office in Munich. Is printed for the sports magazine at Prinovis in Nuremberg.

History

The first issue of Sports image appeared on 24 February 1988 under editor in chief Werner Köster, who was also head of sport at the Bild newspaper at this time. The introductory price was 30 cents.

Reporting

Since March 2011 SPORT BILD works regularly with guest columnists: "Every week report prominent experts on important sports topics and deliver exciting insider knowledge to readers. " Columns of Oliver Kahn and Katarina Witt were the first.

In July 2010, Sport Bild unveiled the magazine-in - book "Cool Sport", which is aimed at children and young people aged between 10 and 17. The Special delivers reports, portraits, as well as tips about football and trend sports.

Under the title "World Cup Safari - the German national team, as you've never seen " presented Sport Bild in May 2010 exclusively extraordinary photographs of the football team Philipp Lahm plays with an elephant ball, Bastian Schweinsteiger fondles a lion 's mane and Miroslav Klose lurking as a cat dressed in the African jungle. Photographer Hans -Jürgen Schmidt has photographed 21 national player and coach Joachim Loew and the DFB manager Oliver Bierhoff for the magazine. The first part of the series " World Cup Safari " appeared in the sports image output on 26 May 2010.

Sport Bild Award

The magazine awards the Award since 2003, outstanding performances and special ideas in the field of sport from. The awards will be awarded in various categories. The editorial gives four Awards, a readers' poll by Internet, telephone and SMS determines the other four winners. The editors of Sport Bild visited the winners and presented the coveted awards.

Awards

Since the existence of the Herbert Awards ( 2005) was voted the Sport Bild always as the best in sports journal of the voting athletes.
