The Quelltopf the Jump

The Jump is an approximately 200 m long, left tributary of the Schmiech in Allmendingen in Baden- Württemberg.

Geography

Springequelle

The Springequelle ( officially: Source of Jump ) is located on the northern outskirts of major Allmendingen, right on the main road it has distributed 58 492 to over 1000 liters per second (average bed 390 l / s). The source pot of karst spring was trimmed with a concrete block wall in an oval pool. The floor of about 25 m long pond was filled with Jurassic gravel. The water comes in part from seepage sites of Schmiech.

Course

The flowing out of the karst spring Jump flows in a southerly direction and empties after 200 meters into the Little Schmiech, a tributary of the Schmiech.
