Srđan Šaper

Srdjan Saper ( born October 9, 1958 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian (formerly Yugoslav ) musician and founder of the McCann Group, a provider of services in the field of marketing communication in Southeast Europe. He is best known as a founding member of the band " VIS Idoli " which has caused the new wave of music and culture scene of the former SFR Yugoslavia in the 1980s.

Biography

Srdjan Saper has the primary school " Sveti Sava " and the eighth Belgrade High School, now known as the third Belgrade High School, attended. His father Radomir Saper was a university teacher and vice-dean at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia national team basketball and sports activist. After graduation Srdjan Saper first studied medicine. He broke off his studies to begin at the Faculty of Drama Arts in Belgrade an education, which he completed at the Department of Film and Television Directing later.

Music career

VIS Idoli

During his studies at the Medical Faculty of the University of Belgrade Nebojša Krstić Saper met. In 1979 she founded together with Vlado Divljan the band VIS Idoli. The band later became one of the most important representatives of the new wave and one of the most popular bands in former Yugoslavia.

VIS Idoli were established on 1 March 1980. Their songs Retko te viđam sa devojkama ( " Rarely do I meet you with girls " ) and pomoc, pomoc ( " Help, help " ) published a month later as the first single in the April issue of the then-popular magazine Vidici.

Idoli give later the single Maljčiki ( "boys" ) out with a new version of the song Retko te viđam sa devojkama. The spot for the song Maljčiki was aired for the first time on New Year's Eve 1981 in broadcast Rokenroler. The song, at the time very controversial, was declared a hit in all of Yugoslavia, the single output reached number one in the charts and was by many critics to be a hit of the year.

Albums

The first album (actually a mini- LP) of VIS Idoli appeared under the title VIS Idoli. In addition to six new songs were also two bonus songs, Retko contain te viđam sa devojkama and Maljčiki.

The next album from 1982, Odbrana i poslednji dani ( " defense and the last days " ), is named after the novel by Borislav Pekić. By music critics, it was awarded as the best album of 1982 and the best album of the YU- rock in the 20th century.

The third album was released in 1983 in the next year under the name čokolada ( " chocolate "). With 350,000 copies sold, the album was one of the album Mrtva priroda ( "Still Life " ) by Riblja čorba the best-selling albums in the former Yugoslavia.

The last LP of VIS Idoli was Šest dana juna ( "Six days in June " ) and contained music from the film. For this album the band virtually ceased to exist. Srdjan Saper was involved in the recent shooting of VIS Idoli as a singer.

Later career

After the release of " VIS Idoli " 1984 Saper Spiridon Kopicl played in the movie Davitelj protiv davitelja ( " Erwürger against Erwürger " ) and continued to produce music. He texted Beogradski davitelj ( "Belgrade Erwürger " ), which he sang with the band VIS Simboli.

In 1986 he founded with Nebojša Krstić, the band Unutrašnja Imperija ( "Inner Royal Empire "). In the same year, she recorded the album Poslednja mladost u Jugoslaviji ( " The last youth in Yugoslavia " ), which was published by Jugoton. At the same time he composed music for the TV drama Šumanovic - komedija umetnika.

In March 1991, he appeared as a guest on the concert of the band Akcija in SKC and sang Beogradski davitelj ( "Belgrade Erwürger " ) from the movie Davitelj protiv davitelja ( " Erwürger against Erwürger ").

In 1995, Srdjan Saper, Nebojša Krstić and Zoran Kiki Lesendrić the band Dobrovoljno pevačko društvo ( "volunteer singing group "). The band recorded the album in Budapest " Nedelja na Duhove " ( " Pentecost " ) on. In 1996, Srdjan Saper and Nebojša Krstić on the debut album of the band called Akcija 7 dana ( " 7 days " ) involved.

1999 appeared the song Razvod 1999 and Parada ( "divorce 1999 " and " The Parade" ) as a compilation of rock'n'roll - Ravno do dna ( "Until the End").

Entrepreneurial career

In marketing, Srdjan Saper has been active since the 1980s. Prior to founding the agency McCann Erickson, he worked as creative director and director in the agencies SM Delo, Borba, Ogilvy & Mather, Saatchi & Saatchi and Idols & Friends.

In 1997, he signed a contract with the agency McCann Erikson, since then he has established advertising agencies in Belgrade, Skopje and Podgorica. Since 2013 he is head of the McCann group, which is in eight countries of South East Europe (Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Croatia, Slovenia and Bulgaria) operates.

Srdjan Saper is the initiator of numerous cultural and communication projects. He is the author of the pioneer project for improving the image of Serbia " La Serbie original version ", which was presented in November 2000 in Paris with the aim to present Serbia after 2000.

Saper teaches communication at the master program of the Faculty of Drama Arts, University in Belgrade and has lectured at numerous international conferences in the field of advertising and marketing policy.

He was committee member of several state organizations and companies, including the Open Society Institute, Congress Centre " Sava ", Belgrade Fortress, Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of Belgrade, Serbian Association of Managers, Committee of the Foundation Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, where he was CEO.

Political career

Saper 1990 became a member of the Democratic Party and participated in the organization of the first political campaign for the Democratic Party, which took place before the first elections in Serbia since 1945, as well as on numerous other campaigns of the party.

He was from 2008 to 2010 and from September 2011 to November 2012 board member of the Democratic Party.
