Søren Nils Eichberg

Søren Nils Eichberg (born 23 July 1973 in Stuttgart ) is a German - Danish composer, pianist and conductor. Eichberg grew up in Denmark and now lives in Berlin. He is the son of Henning Eichberg.

Artistic Career

Eichberg studied piano and composition at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen in Tom Ernst and Friedrich Gürtler as well as piano and conducting at the Hochschule für Musik Köln with Arbo Valdma and Michael Luig.

In 2010 he was appointed the first resident composer in the history of the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra. He works together with Ensemble Modern, Hilary Hahn, Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the ARD Competition.
