St Ninians

St Ninian, St Ringans also is a former village in the Scottish unitary authority Stirling, which is part of the city of Stirling today. She lay in the traditional county of Stirlingshire.

The Jacobites took advantage of the former parish church of St Ninian as an arsenal. Originally from the 1734 church tower is the only part of the building to have survived an explosion in 1745 and today represents a striking object. 1751 a new church building was built at a different location. During the 18th and 19th century were based in St Ninian Tartan Weber. Furthermore, there coal was mined.

Between 1818 and 1860, was fired in the Charter Hall distillery in St Ninian's whiskey.
