St. Peter's Church (Hadern, Munich)

St. Peter's is a Catholic church in Munich's Grosshadern.

History of the Church

Since 1256 a church is attested in documents and replaced in 1500 by the late Gothic church of St. Peter in rags. Approx. 1700, the interior and the tower were the Baroque style. The late Gothic and early Baroque sculptures of St. Peter, St. Paul, St. Catherine and St. Mary are obtained. In the 1960s and 1983, the church was renovated exterior. Here, the abundant articulated tower was restored to its original, oldest coloring. Inside, there are high baroque Chorstuckaturen, Gothic and Baroque figures and modern, colorful stained glass windows.

History of the settlement rag around the Church

The settlement " Haderun " was first mentioned in records in 1065 or 1075. From the parish Graefelfing of uppercase and Kleinhadern was originally supervised religious. In Graefelfing was already in the year 800 a church since the 13th century and was shown to an independent parish.
