The apse still has the original stucco on the ceiling, whereas the former piece of the rest of the vault was reconstructed during the renovation from 2004 to 2006 through painting.

St. Stephen's is equipped with three altars, the main altar shows the martyrdom of the patron saint St. Stephen. The altarpieces are still original and have not been as often exchanged in other churches, altarpieces by the Nazarenerschule.

Other works of art inside the church are a complete Way of the Cross, painted in a contemporary style in oil, as well as a larger than life, carved wooden figure of St. Joseph. A wrought iron gate separates the nave from the entrance area.

In the years 2004 to 2006 St. Stephan was completely renovated.
