Stabæk IF

Stabæk IF ( Stabæk Idrettsforening, in German: Stabæker Sports Club ) is a established in 1912 Norwegian multi- sports club from the municipality of Bærum in Akershus.

History

The club was founded on March 16, 1912 in the municipality of Bærum Stabekk. From the name Stabekks also the name of the club derives. Stabæk is the archaic spelling of the place Stabekks that even after moving to Bekkestua ( also part of the municipality of Bærum ), the club has retained. Best-known department of the club is the Fußballerstligist Stabæk Fotball, the 2008, the Norwegian championship won. The women's football department ( Stabæk Fotball Kvinner, short Stabæk FK ) plays in the Norwegian league. Also very successful is the Bandyabteilung Stabæk Bandy with a total of 13 league titles won.

In handball Stabæk IF with his department Stabæk Håndball is active and able to win both titles at the national level with the men, and the women's teams. Furthermore, still owns the Stabæk IF with Stabæk alpine skiing a division.

The Hockey Division won the Norwegian championship in the 1946/47 season.
