The stack Berger Bach is a 2.025 km long river in the district of Wuppertal and the municipality Vohwinkel. The creek, a tributary of the river Wupper, is also the namesake for streets named stack mountain road and old stack mountain.

Etymology

Stack mountain is an ancient place name, in 1100 as " Stakelenberg " and in 1250 mentioned as " de Stakelberg ". In 1409 he became a noble residence and mentioned in 1453 in a Lehnsbrief as a farm. The name is interpreted as a reference to a stick = tree stump, according to another interpretation on Punting ( = bars ). More likely is related to a person name " Stakilo ".

Topography

The creek originates in around 252 meters above sea level in a densely built area, near the memorial grove road, south of the city of Wuppertal part Vohwinkel. History

The road Stack mountain (meaning here Old Stack Mountain ) is first listed in the Address Book 1928/29, the road Old Stack mountain gets its name on November 11, 1987. The stack mountain road got its name on March 8, 1900 was called between June 18, 1919 and 1935 Hunter Road.

Good stack Berg was awarded with a partition of an estate in 1598 Hermann von Hammerstein, a member of manor Hammerstein.
