Stacy is a city in Chisago County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It lies on the West Branch Sunrise River. In 2010, Stacy had 1456 inhabitants.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.0 km ², of which 2.8 km ² of land and 0.2 km ² omitted ( = 4.35% ) in water. Interstate 35 leads in a north-south direction through the city. The city is located west of the two lakes, the Mud Lake to the northeast and the Sunrise River Pool in the southeast, where the West Branch Sunrise River flows together with the Sunrise River.
Demography
At the time of the census of 2000, there were 1278 persons Stacy. The population density was 448.6 people per km ². There were 474 housing units at an average 166.4 per km ². The population consisted of Stacy's 96.79 % White, 0.55 % African American, 1.25% Native American, 0.16 % Asian, 0 % Pacific Islander, 0.16 % reported from other races, and 1.10 % from two or more races. 0.94 % of the population to be Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Residents Stacy distributed to 466 households out of which 42.1% were living in children under 18 years. 48.9 % married couples living together, 13.5 % had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.0 % were non-families. 22.5% of households were made up of individuals and someone lived in 5.2% of all households aged 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.74 and the average family size is 3.23 people.
The population was spread out with 32.6 % under the, 9.3 % 18 -24- year-old, 36.9 % 25 -44- year-old, 16.0% 45-64 year olds and 5.2 % under the age of 65 years or more. The median age was 29 years. For every 100 females there were 109.2 males. In the over -18s accounted for 100 women 108.2 males.
The median household income in Stacy was 42 026 U.S. dollars, and the median family income reached the level of 45 288 U.S. dollars. The average income of men was 36.29 U.S. dollars, compared to 25,192 U.S. dollars for women.
