The Stade Le Canonnier was the home stadium of the football club Excelsior Mouscron. The club had to close the end of 2009 the operation of gambling. History

Since 1930 Excelsior played under the name Stade MOUSCRONNOIS on a playing field without bleachers. Two years later, the venue was, thanks to generous donors, on August 21, 1932 opened with a grandstand. For this reason, there was the friendly match against Excelsior Mouscron Cercle Bruges.

In 1947, the first covered stand was built. Until the 1970s, little has changed at the stadium. The first floodlights were installed in 1973 at the stadium in 1979 and renewed to the changing rooms and the dining facilities. With the renovation of the East Stand was built and renewed the floodlights. At the opening of the auditorium Anges on October 21, 1991 Excelsior Standard Liege invited to a friendly match.
