  • Games of the Le Mans FC

The Stade Léon- Bollée is a football stadium in Le Mans in Sarthe in the Pays de la Loire, France. After the start of construction in 1904, it was opened in 1906. The Le Mans FC ( 2010: Le Mans UC 72) carries his games from here. Today it has 17,801 spectators. It takes its name thanks to the French automobile pioneer Leon Bollee.

After the rise of the UC Le Mans in 1988 in the Ligue 2, the stadium was renovated. In 2004 Le Mans was promoted to Ligue 1; whereupon again the venue was rebuilt. The record crowd was on November 5, 2005 at the Le Mans UC game - set up Olympique de Marseille 3-0 with 16,531 spectators.

As a further expansion of the stadium because of surrounding sports facilities and residential buildings is not possible, a new stadium was built. On 18 August 2008, work began on the MMArena. The opening took place on January 29, 2011. The new arena has 25,000 seats and cost € 104 million.
