The Stadio Guido Angelini is a municipal stadium with facilities for athletics in the Italian town of Chieti in the homonymous province, region Abruzzo. It is the home of the football club Calcio Chieti.

History

The construction of the stadium began in 1969, it was opened in May 1970 with the friendly match against AC Milan Calcio Chieti. Today it has a spectator capacity of 12,750 seats. Previously, Chieti played at the Stadio Civitella. The first nine years of wearing the new stadium named Stadio Marrucino. Its present name has it by Guido Angelini, a former president of the Calcio Chieti. The venue is to be operated in the Santa Filomena next to a sports park where, inter alia, rugby, baseball and football. There is also a sports hall in which, for example, volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer and handball is played.

In 2005 began a renovation of the facility with the construction of unmet Nordkurve Curva Ezio Volpi, which was inaugurated in 2006. In addition to the new viewer Rank is the sports complex from the partially covered grandstand, the uncovered back straight and a standing area in the south stand under the open sky. Of the total capacity of the stadium only 9007 spectators are allowed in games of Calcio Chieti. During the 2009 Mediterranean Games in Pescara, some football matches were held in the stadium of Chieti.
