Stadio San Filippo
The Stadio San Filippo is a football stadium in the Italian city of Messina in Sicily.
It is the home of Series D association ACR Messina. It holds 40,200 spectators.
History
The stadium was inaugurated August 17, 2004 under the name Stadio San Filippo with the game against FC Messina Juventus. Already 14 years ago, the foundation stone for the new stadium had been laid. It was by chance that FC Messina in the preseason had risen to Serie A after 39 years again, so the club was his first season in the new stadium in Serie A contest.
