The stadium Střelecký, often Stadium na Střeleckém ostrově, is a football stadium in the South Bohemian city of Ceske Budejovice.

The football club SK Dynamo České Budějovice plays its home games from here. From 2005 to 2009, the sports facility was known as the E.ON Stadium. The capacity is about 7,000 seats.

History

The exact time of origin of the stadium is not known, but there were already in the 1920s, a sports field at this point. There, not only played the SK Founded in 1905, České Budějovice but also the German sports club DSK Budweis Budweis DTC and its successor. Within the German-speaking population of the city the place was known as sports field shooters island.

At a first major expansion occurred in the middle of the 1960s. There was a covered grandstand seating for 1,500 spectators, on the opposite side is another covered grandstand for 3,500 people, in addition, more standing room were built. The attendance record dates from a first league against Sparta Prague on May 9, 1987. With 12,000 fans, the stadium was sold out.
