Stagecoach Theatre Arts

Stagecoach Theatre Arts is an internationally operating group of recreational schools, which are usually operated by a franchise model. Children and young people are trained in the fields of drama, song and dance.

Organization

Worldwide, there are, according to the organization more than 650 schools, the vast majority in the UK. A local school has a maximum of 45 students, which in three groups (called stages ) are classified. The groups are determined by age limits, usually take the school children and adolescents aged 6-16 years. 4 - to 6 -year-old children are taught in the Early Stages, students over 16 years in the Further Stages.

History

Stephanie Manuel founded with David Sprigg 1988, the first three schools in England. In 1994, the first three franchise schools were opened in England. Opened in 1997 franchise schools in the USA ( Minneapolis ), 1999 in Germany (Nuremberg ), Spain ( Costa del Sol ) and Malta. 2000, a franchise school was founded in Australia. In the UK, over 500 Stagecoach schools are active in Germany in 15 cities. (As of 2013).

In Erlangen Never Again Shakespeare Productions was founded in 2012, a group of young actors and filmmakers who have produced films with Stagecoach students 5 (December 2013) and brings to this performance on Children's Film Festival and Short Film Festival.

The name of the device relates to Stage (English for stage ) and coaching (English training); the logo refers to the double sense Stagecoach (English for stagecoach ).

The Deputy Foundation InterAct to promote cooperation between disabled and non-disabled children and young people in joint workshops in training the performing arts.
