Stan Brittain
Arthur Stanley "Stan" Brittain (born 7 October 1931 in Liverpool) is a former British racing cyclist.
In the Peace Race in 1955 he became third. In 1956 he made peace with the drive to the sixth stage and 1957, he won two stages. In 1958, he was ninth overall placement. In 1956 Brittain part in the Summer Olympic Games in the road race and won the silver medal and occupy 6th place in the individual with the team. Until 1961 he rode the Tour de France.
In 1958 he started his pro career with the team Helyett - Potin - Hutchison (France ), often moved to other teams, but always returned to the team Viking Cycles (Great Britain and Northern Ireland). He finished his career with the team from Alan Quinn ( Great Britain and Northern Ireland).
