Stanisław Chlebowski

Stanislaus von Chlebowski (Polish Stanisław Chlebowski, * 1835, † 1884) was a Polish historical painter and court painter of Sultan Abdulaziz in the Ottoman court. He received his education in Saint Petersburg at the Russian Academy of Arts. He was in 1862 for some time a pupil of Jean -Léon Gérôme. Since 1864 Chlebowski lived at the invitation of the Sultan in Constantinople for twelve years Opel.
