Stanisław Wziątek

Stanisław Wziątek ( born November 13, 1959 in Połczyn -Zdrój ) is a Polish politician, a local politician and since 2005 member of the Sejm in the V. and VI. Election period.

He finished his studies in the College of Education in Bydgoszcz. From 1994 to 2001 he held the office of Mayor of Połczyn -Zdrój. Previously, he was active in the Polish Socialist Student League. He was also up to its self-dissolution member of Polska Zjednoczona partia Robotnicza ( Polish United Workers' Party - PZPR ). On 20 October 2001 he was voivode of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( West Pomeranian ) and remained in this capacity until October 17, 2005 Since May 2001, he is a functionary of the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej ( Democratic Left Alliance - SLD). . Using the list of this party in 2005 he was for the constituency of Koszalin as a deputy elected to the Sejm. From 19 November 2005 to 10 May 2008, he was Chairman of the SLD in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (West Pomerania ).

In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he was with 12,566 votes on the list of Lewica i Demokraci ( Left and Democrats - LiD ) once again elected to the Sejm. He is a member of Sejm committees for environmental protection and Deputy Chairman of the Sejm Commission of Administration and Interior.

Since 22 April 2008 he is a member of the newly formed group Lewica.
