Stanko Poklepović

Stanko Poklepović ( born April 19, 1938 in Split), nicknamed Špaco, is a former Yugoslav football player and current coach. Since 12 February 2010, he coached Hajduk Split. On October 28, 2010, being the 60th anniversary of the Torcida Split, Stanko was released Poklepović and replaced by the coach of the youth team Goran Vučević.

Career

As a player, he ran for RNK Split and Jadran Kastel Sućurac before he started as a coach in the youth department of Hajduk Split. His positions in professional football of the former Yugoslavia were Hajduk, Budućnost Titograd and Borac Banja Luka. After the collapse of Yugoslavia, he coached both club and national teams in many countries and celebrated numerous successes, including victory in the last common cup competition in the Yugoslav Republics in 1991, the first Croatian Championship in 1992, two championships in Iran and the Croatian Cup in 1999 with NK Osijek and 2010 with Hajduk Split.
