Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars Celebration Europe is the world's largest gathering of fans of the science fiction film saga Star Wars.

The meeting goes back to similar events that take place in the U.S. for some time. The first official meeting was in 1987 the second edition in the spring of 1999, called Celebration I, shortly before the film's release of Episode I -. The threat came in the pouring rain over 10,000 visitors, the Celebration II 2002 in Indianapolis - two weeks ago the theatrical release of Episode II - already 25,000 visitors. The Celebration IV was held to mark the 30th anniversary of the film series, 2007 in Los Angeles, the Celebration VI 2010 in Orlando.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the film saga in 2007, the first Celebration Europe (CE) was lifted from the baptism, she took between 13 to 15 July 2007 at the Exhibition Centre in London, attended by some 30,000 fans.

The second CE was held at Messe Essen from 26 to July 28, 2013 again attracted some 30,000 visitors. Among others were, as on all previous conventions, again several actors from the movie series as a guest. It original sets and replicas were shown of props, offered merchandise of all kinds for sale, presented various movies and more.
