Stas Misezhnikov

Stas Misseschnikow (Hebrew סְטַס מִיסֶזְ ' נִיקוֹב; Russian Стас Мисежников, born February 28, 1969 in Moscow) is an Israeli politician who served as deputy from Jisra'el bejtejnu tourism ministers from 31 March 2009 to February 5, 2013 had.

Life

On September 7, 1982, he immigrated to Israel. In 1992, he earned a BA in Social and Political Sciences at the University of Tel Aviv. Eight years later, he earned an MA in Business Administration and Marketing at the same university. From 1997 to 1999 he was parliamentary assistant in the Knesset, and then employed from 1999 to 2006 in the management of the Israeli health insurance Klalit. From 2003 to 2006 he was a town councilor of Rishon LeZion. For the 2006 election he stood bejtejnu sixth place on the electoral list of Jisra'el; when the party received 11 seats, he was member of the Knesset. He was re-elected in the 2009 elections, in which he was third in the electoral list. Subsequently, he was appointed Minister of Tourism.

The Israeli embassy in Madrid described his visit to Spain as unprofessional. So Misseschnikow had allegedly canceled a diplomatic working lunch at the embassy for a private party. He pretended to have attended a Holocaust memorial.

In October 2010 he said that the OECD have recognized the city of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. As before, a meeting of the OECD in Jerusalem had taken place. Then he was accused of abusing the OECD for his political views. He was then described as " diplomatic neophyte ".

After the attack at Burgas Airport 2012 Misseschnikow traveled to Bulgaria to maintain the tourism ties with Israel. He met there with Boyko Borisov and Rosen Plevneliev.

According to a report in Channel 2 in Israel bodyguards have reported from the private life of the minister. So he had regularly gone out to get drunk and to visit strip clubs.
