Ynetnews is an English-language news and content site in Israel, which is operated by Jedi'ot Aharonot, Israel's most popular newspaper, and the Hebrew news portal Ynet. The Jedi'ot Group also has investments in the Israeli TV station Channel 2, the cable television company HOT, local weekly newspapers, magazines and other companies from the non- media field.


Ynet News was founded in 2005 in Tel Aviv, and to provide "real-time breaking news " reports from Israel and the Middle East. The founding editor of Ynet News, Alan Abbey, went in the summer of 2005, and Ynet News has since been headed by Jon spring, the responsible editor of Ynet.
