History

Stattena IF was founded on March 1, 1922. Already in 1925 succeeded in rising to the second division. There, the team immediately became vice champion behind Halmstad BK. A year later, the team relay champion and entered the ascent games against Skara IF. After a 2-2 draw in the first leg away managed a 2-1 win, and thus the rise in the Allsvenskan.

In the league reform in 1986 Stattena IF came in the fifth rate Division 4, 1989 succeeded Stattena IF the return to the fourth division, with the direct relegated again to the team adopted the higher-class football.

The women's team in 2002 rose for the first time on in the Allsvenskan. In the first year the club was able to get as Third last class, a year later, the team finished last and were relegated again.
