Stefan Batan

Stefan Batan (born 20 March 1985) is a Swedish footballer of Assyrian / Aramaic origin. The striker came in 2005 two appearances in the Swedish U- 21 team

Career

Batan began his career at Assyriska Föreningen, where he debuted in the 2003 in the Superettan. Although at the end of the 2004 season actually become only third in the table, the team played in the 2005 in the Allsvenskan, Örebro SK as the license had been revoked. So Batan came after 31 second division matches in his first stakes in the Swedish House of Lords. With 22 games of the season he was one of the regulars, but could not prevent the re- direct descent. At the end of the 2005 Batan caused some discussion in Swedish football. AIK Solna already announced the player who had agreed orally to change. In DIF Batan struggled with Tobias Hysén for a starting berth as winger in practice by the club 4-3 -3 system, but could not prevail. Even after the departure Hyséns in August 2006, he was able to conquer a regular place. In the 2007, therefore, he played eleven of his 13 missions as a substitute. In the following year he was unable to play in the starting eleven and was presented to his mother club Assyriska FF to play matches. After one and a half years loan period the Swedish second division club he joined in January 2010 fix to the club with which he signed a two -year contract.
