Stefan Emmerling

Stefan Emmerling ( born February 10, 1966 in Heidelberg ) is a German football coach and former football player.

From 1987 to 2000 Emmerling played 249 Bundesliga second division and 106 games for 1.FC Kaiserslautern, the SG Wattenscheid 09, Hannover 96 and MSV Duisburg. Matchday 22 of the Bundesliga season 1996/97 he scored in the jersey of MSV Duisburg against FC Schalke 04 three own goals. To date, he leads so that the list of most scoring own goals in a Bundesliga match. From 2000 to 2002 he was at Fortuna Dusseldorf under contract. As of 3 April 2002 led Emmerling together with Pierre eaters the training of Fortuna during the last Regional Games, where he promoted the later Bundesliga player Axel Bellinghausen in the first team.

Alemannia Aachen II from 2003 to 2007, the first station of the former Bundesliga professionals as trainers. He led the club in the 2006/07 season at No. 2 in the Oberliga Nordrhein. From 1 July 2007 to April 2009 Emmerling was coach of third division Kickers Emden. On 9 April 2009 Stefan Emmerling was engaged as the new coach of Rot Weiss Ahlen. He took office early on April 16, 2009, after Ahlen had requested due to the tense situation sporting Emden to the release and Emmerling terminated his contract with the Kickers. September 20, 2009 Emmerling was suspended after persistent failure as Coach for RW Ahlen. End of March 2010 Emmerling was engaged as head coach of third division side Rot-Weiss Erfurt and received a contract until the end of the season 2009/10, which should be extended automatically in case of class Erhaltes by one year. After a 0-2 against Arminia Bielefeld on Matchday 6 of the 3rd League Emmerling was dismissed from Rot-Weiß Erfurt. Until then, he had his team picked up just one point.

Since December 21, 2012 Emmerling was coach at Southwest regional league Wormatia Worms as successor by Ronny Borchers. After a 1:3 defeat against the SVN Zweibrücken Emmerling occurred on 29 September 2013 his post. Previously the team had slipped to 14th in the table and could not meet the expectations in the season 2013/2014.
