Steffen Haas

Steffen Haas ( born March 18, 1988 in Karlsruhe ) is a German football player. The defensive midfielder plays for the Wehen.

Career

Already at the age of 18 stood Haas in the 2005/06 season in the starting lineup of the then third division TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and played in the first half of the 2006/07 season in twelve out of twenty games. In the second half of the multiple junior national team was held back by injuries. At the end of the season he went with Hoffenheim in the 2nd Bundesliga and came there to nine appearances.

For the season 2008/09, Haas was loaned to Kickers Offenbach in the newly formed Second Division, where he was a regular player immediately and was in the starting in his first season 35 times. At season's end the OFC pulled his option to purchase, and tied Haas with a contract until June 30, 2011 permanently in itself. In the 2009/10 season he defended his place and played in the 3rd league 30 times, where he scored five goals. After the Offenbacher Kickers in January 2010, the former head coach Steffen Menze on leave and replaced with former Bundesliga coach Wolfgang Wolf, Haas was the second youngest captain of the Offenbacher Club history at age 21. In the season 2010/11, Haas came up with 29 inserts ( two goals) and scored in the DFB Cup victory against VfL Bochum 2-0.

For the season 2011/12 he signed a two -year contract with Karlsruher SC. With the KSC Haas managed the re- promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. However, he lost more and more its position in the squad. During the winter break 2013/14 he therefore decided to leave the club and agreed with the management on the termination of his contract. By the summer of 2014, Haas joined then on the Wehen from the 3rd league.

Steffen Haas came in the German junior national teams to a total of seven missions. Two of them in the U -18, in which he celebrated his debut against Slovakia, the remaining five games under coach Frank Engel graduated from Haas in the U-20 national team.
