Steffen Handschuh

Steffen glove (born 26 April 1980) is a former German football player. He is the son of the 358- times Bundesliga player Karl -Heinz glove.

Career

Glove learned the first football game at VfB Reichenbach an der Fils and later at VfL Kirchheim / Teck and in 1997 for VfB Stuttgart, where the former Under-17 national team first played in the A- youth. In 1999, he was with the A- youth VfB in the final of the German Cup, but missed it due to a knee injury. Due to continuing problems with the meniscus he had soon to take a two year break and came only in March 2002 to his comeback with the Stuttgart amateurs.

Two weeks later, on 7 April 2002 glove was his only Bundesliga use when he came on in the away match against SC Freiburg in the 64th minute for Christian Tiffert. Glove succeeded here in the 88th minute to make the score 2-0 late on. For the season 2002/ 03 drew the glove on in the professional squad in Stuttgart. As VfB with only seven points in the table in 15th Round 7 of the 2002/03 season, he was by Felix Magath, together with Benjamin Adrion and the Treaty amateur Michael Fink sent back to the amateurs to a tighter and more effective to allow training work in the pros. Gloves suffered in the aftermath cartilage and meniscus damage in his knee, which eventually led that he had to end his professional career.

End of 2005, Glove SG Schorndorf followed, for which he played half a year in the national league. In the 2006/07 season glove was an assistant coach at the Association League team FC Donzdorf and played at the same time even in the first team. In the meantime, helped glove as interim coach. At season's end Donzdorf rose again from the fifth division and glove left the club. Meanwhile Steffen glove is player-coach at 1.FC Rechberghausen in the county league A.
