Steffen Stegavik

Steffen Stormo Stegavik ( born November 30, 1983 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian handball player. Stegavik is mostly used to back center of the room.

Career

The 1.83 m wide and 85 kg Right-handed played until he was 18 handball and football before he opted for indoor sports. After working at SK Rapp and Malvik HK he was until 2007 the Norwegian Association Heimdal HK under contract. When the club was forced to declare bankruptcy, changed the best scorer of the league rivals Posten Elverum Håndball. After he had cast as Elverum again top scorer of the championship, he signed for Drammen HK, where he was to replace Glenn Solberg. After just one season he returned to Elverum back and won the Cup in 2010 and the league title in 2012 and 2013. In Europe Cup Winners' Cup 2010/11, he failed in the quarterfinals at VfL Gummersbach and was charged with 45 hits fourth best score in the competition behind three finalists. Since 2013 he runs on to the second division Kolstad IL to be closer to his wife.

Steffen Stegavik debuted in the Norwegian national team on 28 July 2004 against Croatia. He stood in the extended squad for the 2007 World Cup and the European Championship 2010. Playmaker scored in 42 international matches 86 goals.

In summer 2011 Stegavik returned briefly to the football field, as his former club Strindheim IL was plagued in the Oddsenligaen (3rd League ) of injuries.

Steffen Stegavik is married to the Norwegian handball player Camilla Herrem since July 2013.
