Steilmann
The steep man group is a textile company that was located in Wattenscheid. 2010, the company moved the head office to mountain Kamen. The affiliates include ECO - textile and 14 companies abroad.
Beginning and rise
The retail merchant Klaus Steilmann founded with a borrowed start-up capital of 40,000 DM Klaus Steilmann GmbH & Co. KG. with 40 employees. In 1998, the steep man group had 1.45 billion DM total sales, about 3,500 employees in Germany and 18,200 employees worldwide. Globalization has led to price pressure, which the company but in the long run could not withstand.
The descent

Acquisitions

In March 2013, the Company announced to take together with the Luxembourg investor Equinox around 46.96 percent of the shares of the Adler fashion stores.
